I always
wanted to have a pet of my own. But my parents told me I'm
too small to take a pet responsibility. Then one morning
when I was in school, my dad rescued a baby bunny from a
brown (kind of macaroni 'n' cheese colored) cat in our
backyard. In fact the bad can already killed the little
bunny's family. When I came home in the evening, I was too
excited to have bunny. First we put her in a laundry
busket. I named her 'Miffy' as my mom said it's a girl
bunny. Mom helped me in feeding her milk with a small
syringe, daily morning and evening. In few weeks he grew
up started eating carrots, broccoli and fibrous bunny food
from my parent's lab. One day Miffy even stopped drinking
milk. She loved to play hide and seek with me on my
working desk and sometimes just to sit on my lap. Oneday
me and my friends Deepan and Siddha had lots of fun with
Miffy. But she use to practice jumping high when we were
not in home. Sometimes she gets bored and jumped from her
cage. It happened several times and them me and my dad had
hard times to catch her to put her back in the cage. Soon
we decided that we should put the bunny in a bigger box.
But even in the big box Miffy still was bored. My mom said
perhaps she will be more happy with other bunnies. So one
day we let the bunny go out when my fried Deepan came over
to our home. While releasing Miffy we made sure that there
was no sign of any bad cats. We saw two big bunnies coming
in our front yard too.
A few
days later, one night when we were outside with our
friends, surprisingly we saw Miffy with one big bunny. She
even came very close to me. I thought she did not like me
while she was with us. But I think Miffy said 'sorry' for
hiding everywhere in our house and came to say 'thank you'
to us for saving her life. Now, although I really miss her
sometimes as a pet, I still feel happy for her knowing
that she is doing well with her new family.
