Although these symptoms are often temporary, asthma is a chronic condition. You need to take care of it all the time, even when you are not experiencing any symptoms.
      There is no cure for asthma at the present time, but there is a lot you can do to help keep your symptoms under control. First, talk with your doctor. Develop a written asthma management plan. Understand your condition and become familiar with the medicines your doctor prescribes. Get to know your triggers and take steps to avoid them. Exercise regularly to keep your lungs as healthy and strong as possible. Put yourself in charge of asthma. It you do, you can expect a lead a full, active life, with your asthma symptoms under control.
